This past week, a number of “firsts” of the season:

You can’t tell from the photo, but this head was 11″ in diameter…
Spa days have long passed- the chicks rapidly learned how to clean their own feet, and these days they take their baths outside, in the dust/dirt, rather than the serene oasis of their youth. But Spotty-Dotty was happy to revisit her old haunt, if only for a brief photo op. Sadly, even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t be able to fit into her old soaking tub!

Look how big she is, and not even two months old! I could barely get her, and the soaking tub (upside down in this photo- I was hoping to convince her to try and perch on it) in the same shot!
